Front-Loading Autoclave

100L - 320L AUTOCLAVE

A front-loading autoclave with a traditional cylindrical vessel is the best option available for research, education, and quality assurance facilities. A cylindrical chamber is better suited to high pressure micro-environments, requires less reinforcement and insulation, and suffers less wear and tear over the life of the autoclave. Each of our front-loading autoclaves is entirely custom built to your specifications, in terms of temperature and pressure levels as well as chamber size. A lower parts count, more efficient steam generation, lean cylindrical pressure vessel, and application-specific build don’t just reduce the purchase price: It results in a more reliable autoclave that costs much less to own, operate, and maintain.

Product Description

If you don’t need to sterilize flat trays of medical instruments, then you don’t need a rectangular-chamber medical sterilizer—and don’t want one. On an annual basis, a cylindrical-vessel front-loading autoclave can be expected to use 1/6th to 1/10th as much water and energy as a comparable rectangular model autoclave—that’s added savings on top of the lower initial purchase price.

The advantages inherent in using a cylindrical-vessel sterilizer become especially apparent with large-volume front-loading autoclaves. By eliminating corners, the cylindrical vessel improves steam circulation, preventing cold pockets and assuring complete sterilization without excessive cycle times or chronic failed loads. Our largest models go head-to-head with comparable conventional 16×16 and 20×20 rectangular autoclaves, offering similar cycle times with lower maintenance burdens and substantial energy, water, and lifetime cost savings. Popular with community colleges, research facilities (small and large), universities, testing labs, and industrial operations.
Our front-loading sterilizers feature the programmable Tactrol Control System that allows for automatic steam sterilization with precise custom cycles and one-touch simplicity. The external panels of the steam autoclave have Biomaster Protected® Antimicrobial Surfaces to help defend against cross-contamination by bacteria, mold, and mildew. The autoclave chamber and door are made of ASME-certified 316L stainless steel for increased durability and reliability.

If your lab needs to sterilize very tall flasks, fermentors, or bioreactors, Priorclave also offers vertical autoclaves that load from the top. If you’re not sure whether loading from the top or loading from the front makes more sense for your lab, contact us and one of our seasoned experts can help you figure this out. Priorclave can find the right laboratory autoclave for your team, with options ranging from small chamber volume benchtop autoclaves to larger pass-through autoclaves.

Option

Printer
The Priorclave Tactrol Printer gives a clear record of times and events during the autoclave cycle along with a printout of parameters during the sterilizing part of the cycle at regular intervals. Depending on autoclave specification this can also include pressure and load temperatures. The printer uses thermal printing technology for a clear and reliable print out and can be set to print either continuously or at the end of the cycle to avoid contact with hot surfaces

Vacuum Drying
An option for Vacuum Priorclaves, when vacuum drying is activated, repeated vacuum cycles are run while the autoclave chamber is heated by external heaters. On fabric items this results in a high level of dryness. The option includes an air intake filter, mesh shelves and drip covers.

Program Memory
Five or 10 program memory options allow program settings to be stored and recalled at the touch of a button.

Wire Basket Front Loading Models
Stainless Steel wire mesh basket for autoclaving bottles and other small items.

Loading Systems- Front Loading Priorclaves
Priorclave offer loading trolleys with or without cassettes for easy loading and unloading of front loading Priorclaves.

Pulsed Freesteaming
On difficult waste loads trapped air is driven out of the load during the heating stage of the cycle by repeatedly opening and closing the autoclave vent. The resultant turbulence removes air and improves steam penetration. Requires a seal drain for the autoclave. Not recommended for liquid loads.

Cycle Repeat
Particularly useful for product testing, this option allows the autoclave to run one cycle after the other without stopping. The total number of cycles can be set from the control panel. For electrically heated Priorclaves a water supply is required. (Not suitable for Distilled, Ultra Pure or RO water supplies.)

Discard (waste) Containers
Liquid tight, stainless steel container for increased cleanliness, hygiene and protection of heaters from media and plastic spillage when sterilizing ‘discard’ loads. Manufactured from stainless steel for optimum transmission of heat into the autoclave load.

False Floor for Discard (waste) containers
Placed in the bottom of the container the floor holds the autoclave bags above any spilled waste in the container, reducing mess on the laboratory floor when the sterilized bags are removed from the container.

Drain Protection
Provides protection for plastic building drains by reducing the temperature of the autoclave exhaust. Requires a reliable water supply at a minimum pressure of 3 BarG.
